Ever since growing up the two things that have driven me to becoming a better person is the thrill of adventure and the satisfaction of helping others. These are two very different things but through my experiences of becoming a volunteer firefighter they have become one in the same.
My journey through life has been guided by a simple yet powerful motto: “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work.” A simple phrase that I have lived by every day. The challenges range from emergency calls to the challenges of black diamond trails on my mountain bike. I have learned that through sacrifices you can make your dreams come through.

When I’m not studying for my communication degree, I can be found outdoors on an adventure. Whether it is snowboarding or mountain biking there is so much to be discovered around the world. Each time I conquered one of the hardest trails on the mountain I learn something about myself, I learn about how to push myself out of my comfort zone.
My parents instilled many core values in me. The ones that I hold on to the most is respect and integrity. These words are the bases of every interaction in my life. I genuinely care for others, and it creates the necessary trust in stressful situations. But still having fun along the way!
